Alpaca Chullo Hat - This typical Andean ear flap hat is called a Chullo It is made from Alpaca fiber. The fiber is milled into Alpaca yarn. Each is unique, similar to illustrations here. The ear flaps tie under the chin to insulate its wearer from the harsh elements.

Alpaca Fiber is classified as a rare specialty fiber. It is both more lustrous and stronger than mohair, five times warmer than sheep wool fiber, soft & delicate to the wearer.
We feature hats with the animals natural colors - typically browns, whites, blacks, blues. Alpacas fibers are hollow which contributes to the creation of lightweight apparel with a very high insulation value.
Alpaca does not itch, tear, pill, stain or create static & is generally non-allergenic.
Each Chullo hat is unique, they are similar to the illustration, we cannot get photos of every hat we receive but it will be similar to the illustration and a one of a kind that only YOU will own. We select subtle earthtones - Chullos that everyone will enjoy.
