The DAJO Ultralight Survival Knife with full tang ultralight design, made of 7Cr17MoWV stainless steel. Non Slip, High strength handle, ballistic sheath, flint and steel, emergency whistle, five feet of paracord to lash knife into a spear configuration. Used by preppers.
For any venture where coming home depends entirely on you, the DAJO Survivor should be at your side. Kit contains 3 of the 10 essentials for survival - knife, Swedish Firesteel Fire Starter, and emergency signal whistle. Each of these items are designed to be as light weight as possible while still being fully functional and affordable.
The knife has a 1/8 inch thick steel full tang (steel structure of blade extends through entire handle for maximum strength). The fixed blade is made of 7Cr17Mov stainless steel with a 57 HRC hardness rating. It takes a nice edge and holds it very well, and is a stainless steel. It's a very good steel, but isn't priced with the exotic super-steels. Some categorize it as a "high value, reasonable price" type steel.
The handle is a high strength, durable, anti-slip G-10 polymer handle. The steel tang area is relieved to achieve light weight and has small holes to facilitate lashing into a survival spear. The G-10 Glass Epoxy resins are specified for their extreme high strength and high dimensional stability over temperature. G-10 is difficult to cut or deform.
G-10 is a thermosetting industrial laminate of a continuous filament glass cloth material with an epoxy resin binder. G-10 has characteristics of high strength, chemical resistance and stability at high temperatures. G-10 is rated at 285 degree F continuous operating temperature.
The durable Nylon sheath has to belt loops to be worn vertically or horizontally. The sheath also has a velcro closure pocket to contain a Swedish FireSteel fire starter and survival whistle and seven eyelets for storing 5 feet of paracord in a compact space.

Fire offers up to 1500 strikes while weighing only 0.3 ounces. There is a special notch on the knife blade to generate sparks. See Additional photos above to see the steel in action.
The Lightweight aluminum Emergency Whistle weighs only 0.2 ounces. (Whistles carry further and expend less energy than your voice.)
The Five feet of paracord is incorporated into the sheath and a compact tie off. Use the paracord to fashion a spear, build a shelter, or even for fire starting tinder in survival situations.
