Even at this low cost, they are well made 12 Foot long real bamboo poles. These are stain varnished and fire hardened for strength. Joint membranes are punctured to prevent cracking and splitting. Feels smooth to the touch, finish looks like fine furniture. Chrome plated metal slip ferrules between sections permit repeated assembly and breakdown as well as maximum retention during fishing. Tip has metal line loop that has been bonded to end of bamboo pole.
Poles have good flexible action. Each 12' pole breaks down into 4' lengths (3 sections). Twelve foot size let you toss line and reach out to lillly pads, around bushes, or under that branch that is touching the water (where the fish hide) !
Each pole comes wrapped together in an individual kit, with hook, 12lb test line, split shot sinker, and floating orange and white foam bobber. Simply unwind the line, thread through the tip, and down the cane pole. Use a small piece of electrical tape to secure the line every couple feet down to the handle. Wind excess line around the enclosed winder / keeper and tape to handle (save it to re-rig if your line breaks) .
Simple, nostalgic, fun fishing like they did in the old days.
