We searched high and low to find the best bota bag and we nailed it ! Well constructed by Bota of Boulder, this particular model is perfect for the fast and light style that we love. The inner 32 fluid ounce container is made of High density polyethylene (HDPE). HDPE is safe for use as a drinking vessel - it will not leach into the fluids contained within. HDPE can be cleaned easily to be kept sanitary. It will not retain taste or odor (unlike leather botas such as those made by Coleman). HDPE is also recyclable. The outer case is made of soft fleece, bordered by neoprene rubber for sure grip when wet. The outer unzips permitting removal of the inner. The fleece outer is machine washable. An adjustable shoulder strap makes for easy carrying. The fleece also gives a bit of evaporative cooling during our hikes - just dip in water and as it dries - it cools, a bit and lets you hydrate. Another fast and light tip - use a full bota as your travel pillow. The soft fleece is comfortable. Your bota serves double duty. Empty, this Bota weighs just 6 ounces.
