H2O on Demand Filtration system - a filter straw that removes Giarda, Cryptosporidium and E-Coli bacteria. Comes in a self contained storage unit, that can be used as a drinking vessel. Test Results:
Protozoan Removal: Giardia > 99.9% Cryptosporidium > 99.9% Bacteria Removal Legionella > 99.9999% Salmonella > 99.9999% Escherichia (E. coli) > 99.9999% Chemical Concentration Reduction: Arsenic 90% Copper > 99% Lead > 99% Chlorine > 83% Iodine > 83% All tests were performed by Hydreion LLC (microbiology research and consulting company) using water from Rattlesnake Creek in Missoula, Montana (pathogens added). Testing was conducted using the United States EPA Guide Standard (1986) and Protocol for Testing Microbiological Water Purifiers. Three identical filters were tested for each organism or chemical. Positive and negative controls were used to evaluate any possible laboratory error. Instructions: Remove filter from container, insert flexible straw into top of filter. Make sure straw is snug. Fill Container with water, avoid excessive silt and debris. Partially submerge filter into water - do not submerge entirely. It works best at 2/3 to 3/4 submersion. Draw water through straw. This filter traps contaminants, protozoan parasites, and bacteria but does not stop viruses. If viruses are present or suspected, use filtration in conjunction with chemical treatment (such as our Potable Aqua Tablets) to ensure virus free drinking water. Good for 26 gallons of filtration. Weighs just 2.8 ounces
