The HitchSafe slides into your current standard 2" Hitch Receiver on your Truck, SUV or Van and is secured inside the Receiver Hitch via two bolt retaining bars inside the HitchSafe. The bolts cannot be removed whent the Hitch Safe is Locked. Your items are secure.

The Hitch Receiver itself is a solid steel vault that combined with the HitchSafe provides the most secure location on your vehicle to store spare keys, credit cards, cash and driver's license. The generic dust cover hides it from view.
To access your keys you simply release the Rubber dust cover (made to look like any normal Hitch Cover), enter in your personal 4 number dial combination, which then releases the drawer and allows access to your keys, cards or more.

Note 1: The 2005-2009 Toyota Tacoma's and the 07-09 Tundra OEM Hitch Receivers require optional longer pins (sold in sidebar). The HitchSafe fits all other makes & models to include RVs, all OEM and all aftermarket hitch receivers
Note 2: About 20% of the 2005 Toyota Forerunners had rounded corners inside their receivers. There is a fix - we can give you details if it affects your installtion - basically involves every so slightly filing off each corner of HitchSafe, does not take a lot of filing to make it work.
