Larger Bait Cast Reel for use with Pen Rod (REEL ONLY) This is the larger of our two bait cast reels. It boasts greater line capacity and user selectable left and right hand retrieve. In between the left and right selector is a middle postiion that permits the spool to freewheel for basic casting. There is also a drag setting on the side. While it is not as sensitive or variable as drags on more expensive reels, it does permit some adjustment. While this is a functional reel it also makes a great gift idea for fisherman. Use it alone as a paper weight, desk accessory, or conversation starter. This combination is commonly used for pier, dock or ice fishing. This model has adjustable drag and a thumb brake button, it is ready to catch fish. Line clip keeps fishing line from tangling while in storage. It is equipped with a special base clip to attach to the pen rod. Reels do not come with fishing line.
