Lightcap LED Solar Light for Wide Mouth Water Bottles
Lightcap Solar Power LED Light turns your Nalgene bottle into a Lantern
March 2017 Product Note: Davis Instruments purchased SoLight and is now shipping the red plastic version. Smoke color shown in some photos is no longer available, Function remains the same.
Don't just buy one - your friends are going to want one - great unique gift idea. Built like a tank these will last for years.
Lightcap Solar Light for Bottles - fits your existing 2.25" diameter Nalgene water bottle. Adding the Lightcap turns your Nalgene bottle into a lantern.
Reminds me of catching fireflies in a bottle as a youth - but much brighter than a jar full of fireflies.
Works great with our Rapid Pure Intrepid Water Filter bottle. Filter by day, lantern by night.

Video review of the function of the Simply Brilliant Solight Lightcap 200:
Note: Product arrives with a very low to no battery charge. It is very important that you remove the protective film from the solar charger and put the unit in a sunny location for a couple days to maximize charge. Charging behind windows will not work - it must be in direct sun out doors. If you are going to store the unit for a few months - charge it first, then store in a box / dark place to prevent charge/discharge cycles - prolonging battery life. Be sure to charge every 3 - 6 months to main battery chemistry - the batteries perform best with regular use.
Factory Warranty: Lightcap is guaranteed against failure for one year, but should last for many years. . If you feel that your Lightcap has died prematurely (not by your carelessness please) just send it back to the factory at Davis Instruments, 3465 Diablo Avenue, Hayward, CA 94545 (phone: (510) 732-9229 ). Davis will send you a working replacement.
Warranty Note: We at goFAST have sold hundreds of these over the past 8 years. Defects are rare (0.5%) but do happend once in a while. Davis has always been good to our customers by sending working units for documented defects. Buy with confidence.
Tip: To maximize battery life - Charge the battery to full - 10 hours full sun, then store in a completely dark place (turned off). Every 3 months - remove from the dark place and put it in the sun for 10 hours, before re-storing in the dark place. This keeps battery chemistry active, yet minimizes - charge / recharge cycles to prolong battery life.
