Mepps Size 0 1/12 oz. Aglia Plain silver Spinner - a classic lure that just plain works. Great for trout, bass, perch and panfish in small lakes and streams while backpacking. How to Fish with a Mepps Aglia Lure:
The key is to cast upstream and bring the spinner back just slightly faster than the current. Reel just fast enough to cause the blade to spin and direct the lure with your rod so it cruises along submerged boulders, logs, or other trout hiding places.
Tip: A good rule of thumb is to buy lures in pairs. When a lure is working, your fishing parter will beg to borrow (or buy) whatever you are using - be prepared for success !
