Orange Trail Marking Tape Biodegradable |
|
Getting lost is never fun. It is inconvenient at best, and dangerous at worst. We have seen many trails marked with bright orange plastic flagging type or survey tape - tied to bushes. While this is handy, the plastic introduced into the environment is a bad idea.
This is special biodegradable orange trail marking tape. Tie this bright Orange ribbon to trees, bushes and objects and is easy to see, but unlike others - this one is Biodegradable - made of non-woven cellulosic material derived from wood pulp. Use to seasonally mark your campsite or trails, if you forget to remove it, it completely biodegrades.
Easy to tear and tie by hand - soft to the touch.
This trail marking tape is completely non-toxic to humans, animals and the environment. It is readily decomposed by bacterial action alone or in conjunction with ultraviolet rays, moisture and abrasion caused by wind. Complete degradation of this biodegradable ribbon will occur outdoors in six to twenty-four months depending on the climate and environmental conditions.
Use to mark favorite hiking trails, fishing spots, campsites, snowmobile trails, cross country ski or snow shoe trails, mountain bike shortcuts, trails through thick brush and more. Create 'high visibility" breadcrumbs for backtracking should you go bushwhacking off trail. Also good for snowmobile trails, mountain bike, or Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) trail marking. We've even used it as a driveway marker at the cabin.
Great for keeping kids out of certain areas (poison ivy, poison oak or thorny bushes). Mark Tent ropes and lines to reduce the tripping hazard. Some campers tie a length between tent poles or trees to play games - limbo anyone? How low can you go?
Longer sections can be stretched across a trail as a barrier should unsafe trail conditions exist ahead. Write messages on it to inform other hikers.
1 inch width, 100 foot roll. Weighs just 1.2 ounces (~35 grams)
