Paracord Survival Belt with adjustable closure and metal buckle. The cobra weave unwraps to over 50 feet of usable, high quality paracord. Unlike other models , there is a hidden belt strap under the paracord, so you still have a functional belt even after unwrapping the cord. The cord is essentially a shell over a simple strap belt. Used by preppers.
Note: These are hand made in the USA for us - we run out - but we get more every week - if it says out of stock - order anyway - more are on the way.
The belt features a interesting 25mm Gunmetal Millenium Infinitely Adjustable D ring Buckle. It seems to change color in different light - ranging from a silver in indoor lighting to a redish tinge in sunlight.
In emergencies Paracord can be used to fashion a shelter, lash a knife to a stick for a spear, repair backpack gear, lash together a litter to carry out an injured friend, etc. The internal strands can be used for tinder in an emergency, as fishing line, sewing thread, etc. There are hundreds of uses.
Great for ultralight hikers and backpackers - no weight penalty - you need a belt anyway - this 5 ounce belt solution adds utility and a survival angle to a normal belt.
Color: Black
Width of Paracord Weave - 2 cm (just under 1 inch)
Length of Paracord Weave Section - 64 cm (about 26 inches)
Length of Paracord Unwoven - about 50 feet of commercial grade 550 lb. tensile strength 7 strand inner core parachute riser cord.
Overall belt length is - 135 cm ( about 53"). For waist sizes 32 to 38" , you simply put the belt on , center it, cut the excess strapping to fit. After cutting, remove belt and seal the cut with a flame from a match (it will melt and seal the end and prevent fraying - it just takes a second).
The belt can be worn on larger waist sizes (up to 50" ), however the paracord portion will tend to be less centered around the body. Not a big deal - this belt is about utility, not fashion.
If you want to weave your own - consider the D Ring belt sold in the sidebar to use as a base, and purchase your own paracord.
