Each has paracord in a cobra braid pattern. They can be unwrapped to yield the following amount of 550 lb test, 7 strand, commercial quality cord:

Small 8 Inch Size ~ 8 feet
Medium 9 Inch Size ~ 9 feet
Large 10 Inch Size ~ 10 feet

Weight is about 1 ounce - lightweight, inexpensive, useful insurance when hiking and backpacking. Used by preppers everywhere.
