Blade comes lightly oiled. After use it is best to wipe clean and lightly oil the chain before storing in the included belt pouch.
This is a low cost saw for emergency and occasional use. It is not designed to cut down a giant redwood, but can be useful for cutting branches and deadfall limbs into useable sections for shelter, fire, or to clear trail obstructions.
Always use caution when using any saw or cutting instrument.
