Ribz are light weight, adjustable, and one size fits most everyone. Can be used alone or combined with a backpack to shift load forward around your ribs. Constructed for easy access, better weight distribution, mobility and improved posture. Whopping 700+ cu in. capacity in standard version. Ultralight version is 500 cu in. Empty weight is 10.6 ounces. Shipping weight is 17 ounces including stuff sack and retail packaging. (ultralight unit is 8.8 ounces). For Ultralight enthusiasts - one of our staffers quickly customized his Ribz to under 10 ounces by trimming excess on fitting straps and removing zipper pull cords. The Ribz front pack is made of 210d waterproof ripstop nylon. The Ribz front pack is truly ultra light. All components are water resistant and have proven durability in the most extreme of conditions. Typically, you can comfortably carry up to 10 pounds in the front packs. There are a total of 5 zippered chambers. One is the aforementioned quick access small pocket on the front left chamber (to store items like batteries, small foil wipe packs, chapstick , etc.) 2 more top loading large chambers left and right, and 2 smaller size - side loading zippered chambers left and right. All chambers are accessible on the go which makes Ribz the ideal choice for camera, misc. gear, sun and bug products, fishing tackle, snacks, baby bag, and more. Ribz up front gear access is easier and faster, and still permits you to carry a backpack. Fit Notes: The Ribz are fully adjustable via a 2 inch wide backstrap and shoulder straps left and right. The Ribz comes with enough back strap to fit chest sizes from 34" up to 58". Users smaller than a 58" chest (most people) will be able to lighten the total pack weight by trimming excess straping after adjustment. The use of a front pack repositions a portion of your weight forward which reduces your overall shoulder stress and increases comfort, mobility and balance. A front pack in combination with a backpack moves your center of gravity forward and lower and creates the feeling of carrying a lighter overall load. Though the Ribz front pack was designed with ultralight backpacking intentions, any outdoor activity where easy access of equipment is critical is where it proves beneficial. Ribz front pack can be used alone as a vest but is primarily designed to work with your existing backpack as increased functionality. The Ribz front pack was designed with many sports and activities in mind. Upon receipt of your RIBZ - adjust the shoulder straps so they fit high above the waist line and low enough to fit comfortable under your arms. Basically fitted right around your rib cage. It is also a good idea to load your pack with the items for your activity before adjusting the back straps to desired fitting. Ribz can be adjusted to fit snug for high intensity activities or loosely for casual. For the serious backpacking enthusiast, try moving a few pounds out of your backpack and into your ribz for better weight distribution and comfort. Moms and Dads use Ribz in conjunction with a baby carrier for better load distribution (see View Additional Images button). Ribz are capable of being machine washed on gentle cycle. Ribz company guarantees all products to be free from any defects in material or craftsmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. The warranty is limited to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable. During the two year warrantee period, Ribz will either repair or replace, at its option, only the defective part of the pack. Ribz will not repair or replace any pack that has been torn as a result of accidents or misuse. |
