Tough Plastic case with locking lid. Magnetic Needle with bright red North pointer. Easy to level with good needle swing action. When lid is closed the needle is locked to prevent damage as you backpack or hike.
Loop hanger on compass body to secure to your pack or pocket.
Cheap enough to buy several ! Small enough to be unobtrusive.
Weighs only 15 grams (just over 1/2 ounce).
