This light is built so its IPX8-rated aluminum alloy body can withstand a 3-meter drop. It comes with body knurling to improve your grip, and the tactical tail switch has been designed with stronger magnetism.

Olight X9R Marauder Torch

The Olight Maurauder’s output of 25,000 is the highest brightness level they have ever produced in a handheld flashlight.

As you can imagine, a light like this could overheat pretty quickly, but their active thermal management system works wonders and prevents any damage or overheating.

There is a battery level display to keep you updated on how much power you have left, which is very handy for a big powerful light like this.

Carrying a big flashlight can be difficult; we found that the ergonomically designed grip on this really helped though. Coupled with the shoulder strap, you don’t have the problem of getting tired that most heavy lights come with.

If you need a flashlight around the house, you might want to look at ones with a lower price. This is a great option if you need a quality light for search and rescue, caving, and other outdoor activities.

Who are Streamlight?

Streamlight have been on the go ever since they were spotted by a private investor, impressed by their work in designing a 25m candlepower light for NASA.

Streamlight is a good light choice for the military, first responders, and outdoor enthusiasts. Both Olight and Streamlight have great benefits, and the ones we tested had very few faults. In fact, we had to go looking for issues. Both offer durable lights with a great performance, and we were impressed with both.

For a factory service, you could check for a local authorized service center as most offer walk-ins. Alternatively, you can fill out an online service request form directly with Streamlight.

When light is sent back for a service you would have to advise if you had selected Priority Service, and provide the proof of purchase or date and company you purchased the light from.
